Wednesday, June 20, 2007 My name is Scott Holiday...I picked up a couple of these (both the stainless and brass) from you about 6 years back. Well...let me tell ya'... The brass one has not missed a show in 6 years! Every night I get..."what was that slide thing you had?...that was incredible!" Seriously...just about every gig. Anyway..back then I had a group called humanLab. We were on Atlantic. That came to an end...and I've put a new group together called 'the black summer crush'...it's a very rock & roll type of band...signed to EMI. Record is coming out in the 1st quarter of 08' (January) I wanted to: A)-say thanks for comin' up with my 'secret weapon!..and B)-I gotta try out the Brass/Glass version...killer! I'm gonna go paypal you right now... And please go have a listen
to the new band @ |

I just love your Jetlide! It's what I've been looking for and has expanded my playing beyond my wildest imagination. Once again, keep up the good work because your products are the best! Thanks! April
2006 update: I feel like I have been able to develop my reso-shred style because of the JetSlide and it's light weight and size. As a matter of fact, I think of it as a little steel finger! I hope my book is going to open up the possibilities to others as well! We are in the studio recording our next CD which will have much more reso-shred work. Thanks again for all your help and support and for creating this amazing product! Thanks! |

All I can say is "WOW!!!!" The slides you sent me are amazing! I had a hard time with other slides because I couldn't tell when to stop on the fret with those "big tubes." And being the only guitar player, now I have no problem going back and forth from slide to standard leads. Thank you, thank you, thank you! |

| "Recently I discovered something I've been looking for
ever since I started playing slide. I have always been frustrated that I couldn't switch between slide and straight guitar quickly. The best I could do was to put a holder for the slides on my mike stand, but even that was too awkward for quick changes. I can remember playing a gig in Dauphin, Manitoba years ago using a copper slide. I had to switch a number of times during the song, so I stuck the slide in my mouth. Boy --did it taste aweful. It took me days to get that copper/blood taste out of my mouth. A little while ago I discovered a great new device-the JetSlide-- hand made by my friend Gary Romero. You wear it like a ring, and the slide just flips out of the way allowing you free use of your fingers until you need it. You can change from slide to straight guitar in mid-riff." |

| "The innovative JetSlide™ guitar slide allows you
to play slide guitar licks, while retaining full use of your fretting
fingers for playing normal guitar chords and solos. " Yes, you read
it right folks, this little device enables you to play slide guitar and
be able to have full use of your fretting fingers so you are able to play
guitar chords and solos at the same time. I was quite surprised how easy
it was to use. When you receive your jetslide, they enclose a great set of directions on its use and versatility. Things that are mentioned is how the jetslide is designed to be worn on the ring finger, and the bent portion of the slide bar rests between the flesh of the ring finger and the little finger. This prevents the slide from turning excessively toward the underside of the ring finger. It also stabilizes the slide while it is being used and helps it fall out of the way when the finger tab is released. It also tells you how to use the slide by simply placing the little finger on the finger tab and apply pressure when needed. The remaining fingers may be used to dampen unwanted string noise. The jetslide is handmade and custom fit to your ring size. It is available in standard ring sizes 8 through 12. Larger sizes are also available for you bigfoot guitar players. The ring can also be adjusted using a pair of pliers (and a piece of cloth or leather to protect the metal) and carefully bent to the right size. There is one problem I ran across with the jetslide. Recently, I attended the winter NAMM show, (National Association of Musical Merchants), and I had the two jetslides with me (one stainless steel, one brass) the problem was, is that when I showed them to people, I had a hard time getting them back. I ran into at least 20 people that wanted to keep them. Besides that, the jetslide is pretty much flawless, it works equally as well on electric, acoustic and resonator guitars. Like I mentioned they come in both brass and stainless steel and is a must for any guitar player’s accessory arsenal. If you are not a slide player, you should pick one up and try the jetslide, because it makes slide playing a breeze, once you get the hang of it. |

| I just wanted to drop a note and say that I bought this slide from you guys at the August vintage guitar show in Nashville, TN. I play in several bands around town and have done some recording as well. In my current main project, The Old Flames, I use the JetSlide on stage to great avail. It is definitely the best slide I have ever worked with and the ability to go between full four finger chording and slide is effortless after about 10 minutes with the thing. I really have enjoyed my brass slide and hope that it will be heard on some of my upcoming recordings. One again, thanks. |

| Just got it a few minutes ago. It fits great! Snug, but easily removed. I just gave it a quick unplugged tryout . . . Nice!!!! Just a little getting used to the correct angle and index finger dampening, and I'll be golden. It's a great concept. My hat is off to the designer, which I believe must be you. I'm able to play lead no prob! I used to have a heck of a time live, bouncing back and forth. Looking forward to comparing the brass with steel. |

| I love it! I'm definitely getting the hang of it. On songs that I had previously had to jump back and forth between regularly playing and slide, the JetSlide really shines! I no longer have to slip the slide into my breast pocket, and then fumble to retrieve it a minute later! That really was getting old! I was thinking of attaching a small strip of Velcro to the slide and the guitar and trying that, but I never really wanted to attach Velcro to my guitars! Also, anytime I would turn around and put the slide on top of the amp, invariably I'd end up with it on the floor. If it was glass, it was broken, and if it was metalit was lost 'till the end of the night. With JetSlide on, I find myself throwing slide licks in during solos, because I'm wearing it! You've got a real winner here, Gary! That tab lets you apply just the right amount of pressure to get the tone you want, and then in a flickit's out of the way. It's really neat "trapping" it doing a lick or tow, and then letting it "go." Kudos for designing it. |

| Thanks Gary. I've received the slides. I must say I've tried just about all the slides around and the JetSlide is definitely the best! It has increased my attractiveness to the opposite sex and general pulling power toonow I can drop out of rhythm playing into slide guitar then straight lead playing and back againall of this within ten minutes of use. Sex on a stick, man! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Gary, Got my JetSlide in last night and immediately tried it out. Loved it! Short learning curve with this thing. Fits perfectly and is very comfortable to use. Vibrato is second nature. Really am impressed and happy with the quality and performance. Am also very happy that I got it on Thursday after ordering it from you on Monday; a size 15 is not exactly "on the shelf." Will definitely be showing it around and am certain that you can expect some more orders shortly. Best Regards |

| Again, guitar shows let you discover new things. Not only unusual guitars, but accessories and guitar-related ephemera you'll never find through your computer. Here are several things that caught my fancy at the show. The problem with most guitar slides is they make it tough to play anything besides slide guitar. Playing regular lead lines or anything other than simple bar chords is near impossible. Not any more. JetSlide is a neat new device that allows you to go from slide to regular playing and back so fast you can play both Dickie Betts and Duane Allman licks! It is made of brass or steel and fits onto your ring finger. They are sized in even ring sizes so the fit is perfect. The one I tried at the show allowed me to switch back and forth with only a bit of effort. After a week's practice I could make the change without missing a beat. Well worth the price. |

| Slide enthusiasts are always interested in checking out new gadgets to work their voodoo. The JetSlide is a handmade slide designed by Gary Romero. Unlike more conventional slides that fit over most of the finger, which some players find uncomfortable and confining, the JetSlide was developed to be worn like a ring. It fits comfortably on any player's hand and eliminates the need to remove the slide in order to play with all four fingers. The JetSlide is constructed from a slim brass bar bent to an angle and attached to a chrome ring. It's designed to fit on the ring finger and is available in standard ring sizes, 8 through 12, and larger sizes are available. The ring can be adjusted using a pair of pliers (and a piece of cloth or leather to protect the metal) to carefully bend it to the right size. Attached to the ring is a flat piece of metal that runs across the length of the bar and a small finger tab used for balance. This part of the unit resembles the body and wing of a jet. The jet-shaped portion of the slide bar rests between the ring finger and pinky to prevent the slide from turning excessively toward the underside of the ring finger. It also stabilizes the slide when it's in use, and helps it fall backward and out of the way when the finger tab is released. To use the JetSlide, you place the pinky on top of the finger tab and apply as much pressure as necessary, while gently squeezing it between your ring finger and pinky to keep it straight. When you release your pinky from the finger tab, the slide will fall backward and out of the way of your fretting fingers, so you can return to regular playing with the use of all four fingers. Then when you re ready for more slide action, reach back with your pinky to grab the slide again. Because your slide finger is free to move, you can switch back and forth between playing with and without the slide almost instantaneously and effortlessly. The JetSlide is very easy to control. As someone with small hands, I have always had difficulty finding a comfortable-fitting slide, and my slide playing has suffered. I find most conventional slides are far too large for my fingers, and the shorter "knuckle" slides are just too short for use like a standard slide because they don t reach across the guitar s fingerboard in the same way a standard slide does. I know I m not alone in my quest for a comfortable slide. Aside from the problems in finding a slide with the proper fit, another problem some players encounter is that typical enclosed slides will often cause their finger to sweat. Then it s not only uncomfortable to wear, but the slide can either move around or can be difficult to remove. In addition, certain metal slides can also react with the skin, causing it to turn attractive colors, like green. We all have enough problems to worry about as musicians, without having to worry about things like sweaty fingers that turn colors or searching for proper-fitting accessories. Sheeeesh! So, if you re a slide player or working at becoming one, you may want to check out the JetSlide The company's website has a selection of photos that show how it fits on the hand from a few different angles and provides links for more instruction. You'll still have to put in the hours practicing riffs, but the JetSlide can help you improve your technique and gain a better understanding of slide guitar. It has definitely inspired me to work on my own slide chops. |
